The goal is a system your team owns. Not one they depend on a consultant to maintain indefinitely.
Questions
What is an agent harness?
Everything around the model that makes it a system rather than a demo. The orchestration loop, the tool layer, the skills architecture, memory and context management, evaluation, guardrails, and observability. The model is one component. The harness is the product.
We already have agents running. Do we need a rebuild?
Usually not. The Audit exists to find out. In most cases the model choice is fine and the failures are in tooling, context management, or the complete absence of evaluation. Those are fixable without starting over.
Can you build without sending our data to third-party APIs?
Yes. Private and on-premise deployment is a large part of the work. Where the regulation or the risk posture requires open-weight models on your own infrastructure, the architecture is designed around that from the start.
Which models do you build on?
Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and open-weight models. The choice follows the workload, the latency budget, and the compliance requirement. A well-built harness lets you change that decision later without rewriting the system.
How do you handle timezones?
I commit to a fixed daily overlap with your team and hold it for the engagement. Async by default, with scheduled synchronous sessions for architecture decisions and reviews.
Do you train our team?
Yes, and I prefer it. Enablement is built into the Harness Build and continues through the retainer.
What do you not take on?
Projects where AI is the answer looking for the question. Work that requires me to promise a result the technology cannot deliver. Engagements without a named internal owner.
