These are custom versions of ChatGPT that users can tailor for specific tasks or topics by combining instructions, knowledge, and capabilities. They can range from simple to complex, addressing needs from language learning to technical support. As of today, users have already created over 3 million custom versions of ChatGPT.

There are many useful GPTs that enhance everyday tasks with extended functionality beyond the standard ChatGPT. However, let’s be honest, there are also many GPTs that are less useful or have click-bait names (especially those claiming to make AI content undetectable).

As an GenAI engineer working on a paper about reverse prompt engineering, I chose to study popular GPTs available on ChatGPT. As part of my research, I wanted to share a list of reverse prompts for these GPTs.

The concept of “Reverse Prompt Engineering” has emerged as a powerful technique that adds precision to AI interactions. It’s akin to reverse engineering for AI, allowing us to leverage the generative capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) to craft precise and effective prompts.

Reverse prompt engineering aims to uncover the hidden prompts (or parameters) given to a generative AI to execute tasks. Spoiler alert: it’s not as simple as “you are a helpful assistant.”
